TOGETHER WITH
Good morning, Fayette County. He sees you when you're sleeping... and he knows when you're awake, probably because you were up way past your bedtime catching up on missed episodes of Survivor. My late-night viewing habits aside, Santa is making multiple key appearances this weekend! If you want those priceless (and sometimes tearful) pictures of your kid on the Big Guy’s lap, now is your chance.
Speaking of things you need to dig up: if your home is still lacking that holly-jolly vibe, consider this your official wake-up call. It’s time to brave the dusty depths of the attic! Squeeze past the forgotten luggage and pull out those ornaments before your house starts looking like a permanent resident of Grinch-ville.

THE DIGEST
The Road to the State Championship
The regular season is over for most of Fayette County’s football teams, except for Sandy Creek. The Sandy Creek Patriots are currently one of the most dominant football teams in Georgia, boasting a perfect 13-0 record as they head into the GHSA Class 3A State Semifinals. Their season has been marked by a powerful defense and an elite running game, leading to a decisive 34-0 victory in the quarter-finals last week. Now, the Tyrone-based team looks to secure their spot in the state championship by defeating the LaGrange Grangers. It’s a home game for Sandy Creek tonight Friday, December 5th at 7:30 PM. With two previous state titles in 2012 and 2022, the Patriots are striving to win the fourth football championship in Fayette County history.

Fayette County Website Looks Great! …but
For years, we endured an online experience crippled by outdated information and a clunky website that felt straight out of the Netscape Navigator archives (think 1999!). But now, fayettecountyga.gov has launched its sleek new look! My first test: finding out if the "Dog of the Week" got adopted. I typed "Animal Shelter" into the shiny search bar, hit the link... and was immediately greeted with a "NOT FOUND" page. It's a gorgeous facade, but clearly, they haven't quite connected the working links to the stylish new home.
