Others point you toward a place tucked into a shopping center where the menu has not changed in 25 years and the person behind the counter already knows their order.
So today, I want to hear about your place. What is the Fayette County restaurant you defend without hesitation? The one you take out-of-town relatives to, order from after a long week or quietly worry will become too crowded once everyone else discovers it?

Fayetteville’s downtown Alleyway Project has reached a major milestone with the soft opening of the new Main Street Alley Plaza beside the Historic Courthouse Square. The upgraded space sits on the west side of the square and includes shaded picnic areas, shared gathering space, improved parking, and refreshed landscaping and design features. The project is intended to make the area more inviting for visitors, shoppers, and downtown businesses. Construction is still underway in the adjoining alley behind the businesses along the west side of the square. City officials expect that portion of the work to be completed later this summer. Once finished, the full project will add another walkable public space to downtown Fayetteville while improving the connection between parking, businesses, and the courthouse area.
Peachtree City is using an online survey from Zencity to gather resident feedback that may help guide future city policies, services, and priorities. The survey includes questions about quality of life, local services, housing, and waste collection, including the possibility of a mandatory citywide trash and recycling program. Some residents have raised concerns about the required demographic questions and response options that may not fully reflect their views. Participants can use the available written-response sections to provide additional context when the listed choices do not match their position. Residents are encouraged to complete the survey so the results reflect a broad cross-section of Peachtree City rather than only those already closely following city business. The survey is being promoted through online advertisements and can be accessed through this link.
Taste of Trilith has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 15, from 5 to 10 PM in the Town at Trilith. The second-year event will feature food from a larger group of local restaurants, including ENZO, Barleygarden, Amici, Nourish and Bloom, Greystone, Woodstone Bakery, Honeysuckle Gelato, and several others. Guests can purchase tasting tickets and sample a range of dishes while exploring the Town Centre. The evening will also include live music, dancing, local artisans, and a fireworks show over Trilith Lake at 9:30 PM. General admission is $10, with tasting tickets sold separately. A VIP option is also available. Proceeds will benefit the Alō Farms Foundation, which helps improve access to fresh food for families facing food insecurity.
